- Misbun
Eldest brother Misbun was Malaysia's top men's singles badminton player in the 1980's. He represented the country in Thomas Cup and the All-England. He won numerous titles including the Swedish Open,German Open,Canadian Open and Malaysian Open. This world beater defeated players like Morten Frost,Prakash Padukone,Icuk Sugiarto and Han Jian and won the Sportsman of the Year award twice- in 1981 and 1983.
Misbun turned professional 1985 and was the first Asian athlete to be signed by the International
Management Group (which managed among others Paolo Rossi,Martina Navratilova and Ivan Lendl).
Misbun is now adviser to the Nusa Mahsuri badminton club and is also a national singles coach. As a coach,Misbun has produced the champions. During his tenure as coach at Nusa Mahsuri, he guided younger brother Rashid Sidek and Roslin Hashim to the top of the rankings. He also shaped Hafiz (Roslin's younger brother) into a commonwealth Games champion and Thomas Cup Hero.
- Razif and Jalani
Misbun's younger brothers, Razif and Jalani, won the All England men's doubles in 1982. Jalani, who was 19 years old when he won the All England title, was the youngest Malaysian to have done so. Ten years later, the pair were part of the country's winning Thomas Cup team. Other titles they won, in the course of their sports career,include the Canadian Open, Swedish Open, Japanese Open,Indonesian Open,Australian Open,Chinese Open,Hong Kong Open and German Open.
Razif and Jalani won the SEA Games badminton men's doubles gold medal in 1985. In 1990, they won the commonwealth Games doubles gold and Asian Games bronze. The pair was the Best Male Team of the year Award for three consecutive years from the 1985 to 1987.
Of all their achievement,their most significant was winning the country's first Olympics medal (men's doubles bronze) a the Atlanta Olympics in 1992. Razif was the Malaysian flag bearer at the Olympic Games that year.
- Rashid
The year 1992 was a winning year for Rashid. He won the World Badminton Grand Prix singles title and was a member of the winning Thomas Cup team. In 1994, he won the Asian Cup and was the All England runner-up. He was won the sportsman of the year award four times - in 1990,1992,1993 and 1996.
Rashid who was ranked the world no. 1 in 1997, is the chief coach foe the project 2010-2012 badminton squad.Rashid together with brothers Razif and Jalani were inducted into the OCM Hall of Frame in 2002.
